I told you all I would be back and yesterday I was back at the ‘Don’ of all restaurants at Stratford’s Westfield Shopping Centre – Rhythm Kitchen – Not only to fill my belly with the delicious food on offer – but to fill that belly with the rib tickling humour of Jamaica’s King and Queen of Comedy, Oliver Samuels and the equally infamous Audrey Reid. For those unaware, Oliver Adolphus Samuels is a renowned Jamaican Actor adored not only by native Jamaicans, but by people the world over for his stand up comedy and leading comic theatre roles.
Oliver is in London to launch his gift to Jamaica in the year of its 50th Independence Day (August 6th), with the play, ‘Who A Di Don’ , which is the first production he has written, co-directed and stars in. The comical actor was also joined by fellow cast members at the luncheon hosted by Rhythm Kitchen to commemorate the occasion.
Rhythm Kitchen are among the companies such as Digicel, Money Gram, Colourful Radio and Newmont Travel who are sponsors of the play which is taking place at the Hackney Empire this weekend on the 21st and 22nd July 2012 and at The Broadway Theatre next week on the 28th and 29th July 2012. Be sure to grab the last tickets fast!
Also in attendance was Rajan Singh Nazran from Colourful Radio, Paul Harrison from Digicel, Bagga John from BJ Productions and the beautiful and lovely British Model Renesha Kerr.
